Welcome to Directors UK

Directors UK, formerly DPRS, was launched in June 2008 as the single voice of British film and television directors.  It is now both a collecting society and campaigning body with over 3,500 members.

For directors themselves, our goal is simple - to achieve radical improvements in the status, pay, creative conditions and recognition of all UK directors from all genres.

For those with a more general interest in what appears on British screens - from traditional film and television to new media and mobile phones - I hope this website will prove a fertile hunting ground.

It is directors who create what we see on our screens. Here you will discover and understand their work and the fascinating but rapidly changing world they inhabit.
