Joining Directors UK

Directors UK works on behalf of British film and television directors.  We collect and distribute money due to directors for secondary exploitation of their works, campaign for better rights and conditions, and provide an active members’ organisation for directors.

Why Join Directors UK?

  • Directors UK collects and administers payments for secondary exploitation of members’ work.  To benefit from these collections you must be registered with us.
  • Directors UK seeks to represent directors in all aspects of their work and is currently in discussions with broadcasters and producers on the level of fees, conditions of engagement and creative rights. As a campaigning organisation, we are working to establish and protect directors’ economic rights in the UK and abroad. The more directors who join the stronger the organisation becomes and the better the chances that we can make improvements.
  • Directors UK offers additional benefits including a Members’ website, events, masterclasses, networking opportunities and the chance to have your say through surveys and discussion forums.  To be able to access the full benefits you must be a Member.
